| Used Sleeping Bags for Kids in Need
Kristi is collecting used sleeping bags for a center that works to help disadvantaged NYC kids. If you or any of your outdoorsy friends have sleeping bags that they're not using anymore, she'll be collecting them at Ultimate on Sunday. The Streetwork Project is a drop-in center that works with kids who have significant drug and mental health issues, but who are still sleeping in abandoned buildings. They are a point of first contact for kids starting to get help but who aren't ready yet to enter full-on shelter/treatment programs. |
