Raving reviews are just that, saw the movie last night it’s ok but nothing special. Maureen said it was “exhausting”, I didn’t feel so tired after playing frisbee as much as after watching this movie Mark- you are right about modern action movies, definitely very a.d.d. The Matrix was fine, that’s an action movie, no?

For those who don't know the backstory, yesterday Diane invited people to watch
"Everything Everywhere All at Once"
at the theater in Woodstock.
Diane: You also thought "Mad Max: Fury Road" was too much, so maybe modern frenetic action isn't for you. I also generally find modern action movies too A.D.D., but I did like "Fury Road" because it had good characters and story, and because Eve Ensler was a consultant and called it a "feminist action movie".
I do love Michelle Yeoh, so I'm still going to see
"Everything Everywhere All at Once"
.
Diane: "The Matrix" is a different kind of action movie. It's not random and manic, and all the action contributes towards a perfect, classical story of a hero's journey.
